Cygnus Performance Ultra Linear Springs are a collaboration between Cygnus Performance, LLC and Hyperco/MW Industries. We set out to create the ultimate spring that would fit the Cygnus Performance X-1 and Fortune Auto coilover platform. These 7 inch 60mm ID springs also work well with MCS, AST and Moton.

So far we have developed five rates which consist of 6k, 7k, 8k, 9k and 10k. We have virtually eliminated a very common issue with most other coilover springs which is sagging (the spring getting shorter with time). We cycle these springs throughout the full range of compression and hold them fully compressed five separate times at the factory. This process known as blocking almost totally eliminates sag. There is less sag with these springs than with any other option on the market. This process also serves as an additional quality check. If any springs are not within 1% of the advertised rate they are scrapped. If they lose more than a few millimeters of free length during the blocking process they are also scrapped. This ensures that the springs you receive are tried and tested and will give you a lifetime of flawless operation. We back them with a lifetime warranty which guarantees this.

Aside from exhaustively cycling and testing every single spring individually we also incorporate many unique manufacturing processes that you won’t find with other springs. We use individual coil wire diameter for every single rate so that we can optimize our design without over stressing anything. This is not the cheapest or the easiest way of doing things, but it is the best way of doing things. Virtually all of the competition shares the same coil wire diameter across multiple rates which is not good for accuracy or longevity. This is why we have a limited number of rates available at this time. Using independent coil wire for every rate is not inexpensive. Using high quality spring steel in the optimum diameter all but eliminates rate distortion and makes these springs exceptionally linear which is where they get their name.

The consistency you get with these springs both throughout the range of compression and from one spring to the next is unmatched. This will give you both considerably better, more predictable handling and much smoother ride quality. Less deflection means that when you take a hard hit the spring will do exactly what it is designed to do. The car remains composed over road imperfections. Perfect consistency from the beginning to the end of usable compression means that when you enter a corner you can tell what the car is doing. Turning left and turning right feels exactly the same. As the suspension loads up mid corner it’s a confidence inspiring experience.

The quality of your springs matters. If you have bad springs you are not going to enjoy driving your car even if everything else is perfect. Each Cygnus Performance Ultra Linear Spring is fully manufactured, coiled, cycled, tested, finished, laser etched and boxed in the United States and is backed by an industry leading lifetime warranty and tolerance guarantee. These are the absolute best coilover springs on the market with zero corners cut.

Please Note: All springs 60mm inner diameter and 7 inch length.
